THE STORY OF ARIZONA POTTERY

In the state of Arizona, our free time is mostly spent outdoors, enjoying the warm climate and luscious surroundings of tropical palms and colorful bougainvilleas. We take great pride in our homes and patio/garden areas. Because of the stark contrast of living in a barren desert, it is necessary for us to select colorful items to enjoy and admire. At Arizonapottery.com we set out on a search to locate such items. A local outing did not produce any unusual finds, so, we then expanded our search to surrounding areas. We went to Native American Villages for original designs, durable pots, open-air marketplaces for fun and creative items and the country of Mexico for beautifully carved clay pots. We eventually located the most beautiful Italian terra cotta vases and clay pieces and colorful local craftsmanship. In 1997, we started importing terra cotta pots and accessories for local nurseries, gift/floral shops and garden shopping centers. Our product line was in great demand because the need is so great for unusual items. In 1999, we realized that the Internet could provide us a way to showcase all of these terra cotta vases and treasures in one secure, on-line shopping store.
